lcmd is a dynamic and innovative scale-up that was founded as a spin-off from Drees & Sommer.

lcmd not only offers a powerful tool for simple and efficient project management, but is also actively shaping the future of digitalized project planning and execution in the construction industry. The software serves as a professional tool, clearly mapping all project phases and enabling intuitive control, simple performance measurement and seamless integration into existing structures. Today, lcmd is one of the leading solutions for planning and managing construction projects.

Since its foundation, lcmd has grown from three to over 50 dedicated employees and has offices in Stuttgart, Berlin and other regions of Germany. In 2020, lcmd was established as an independent spin-off of Drees & Sommer to drive innovation and enable quick decisions. In 2024, the Würth Group joined as a second strategic partner.

Old benefits, new questions - why still the Deutschlandticket?

As lcmd grew, the needs of the team also changed. Originally, the Deutschlandticket was offered as a benefit. However, this offer reached less than 50% of employees, as public transport is currently not a viable alternative for many. There was also a high administrative burden. It quickly became clear that a more flexible and individual solution was needed to meet the needs of the decentralized team.

In close cooperation with HelloBonnie, a flexible benefit solution was developed that goes far beyond the Deutschlandticket. The introduction of the HelloBonnie smartcard on October 1, 2024 enabled employees to choose benefits according to their individual preferences, such as Spotify subscriptions, gym memberships or coffee from their favorite café.

Smartcard launch: how easy it is to implement a modern benefit setup

The introduction of the HelloBonnie smartcard went smoothly, supported by onboarding sessions and an interactive employee guide. It is also possible to contact HelloBonnie directly with questions via the Help Center or Support. Today, 49 employees are already actively using the smartcard (>95% Usage rate) - clear evidence of the high acceptance and success of our flexible, individual benefit solution in a dynamic scale-up environment.

More than just numbers - real savings and satisfied employees

lcmd provides a monthly benefit in kind of 50 euros per employee, which corresponds to an annual budget of around 30,000 euros. Thanks to the tax advantages of the Benefit solution, the company saves around 40,000 euros in non-wage labor costs. The flexible Benefit solution has led to significant time and cost savings, allowing the team to focus on its core task of digitalization in the construction industry.
